About Me
I have loved art since I was a toddler, decorating the walls of
my childhood home in Minnesota with crayons and finger paint.
I was disappointed that my mother thought my primitive
designs clashed with her traditional Early American furnishings.

I began my professional career painting pet portraits while still
in high school. I painted my first commissioned portrait of a
beautiful horse at age fifteen. I went on to college in pursuit of
my Fine Arts education. Then it was marriage -- thats when I learned real multi-tasking,
conjoining the duties of wife and mother with my art career.

One day my husband brought home an Apple MacInstosh computer to replace the old
AT&T 6400. PC. It had this crazy thing called a "mouse" attached to it. What? No more
DOS command codes? A drawing program? This is fabulous! That was the beginning of my
love with computers and digital design.

Being a freelance illustrator and designer allows me to do illustrations, digital design,
desktop publishing, and Web site design. I enjoy working with a variety of clients who
make my job fun and interesting. My clients like working with me too, especially when I
read their minds.

I specialize in animals because they have always been part of my life: horses, dogs, cats,
and some small rodently creatures when my daughter was young. They keep me busy,
young and happy. You just can't have a bad day with a Basset Hound in the house.
